Basuki Allows the Developer to Buid Mall

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama allows the developer to construct mall or shopping center in the capital, as long as it is through right procedure and not in middle of the city.

"Just make a proposal where. If it is not appropriate, it will be rejected," he stated, at City Hall, Monday (5/9).

Reclamation, Developer Must Obey Government Rules

According to him, they will think twice to construct mall, because number of mall in the city is rampant already.

But he encourages them to realize it in places that are always passed by public transport, such as Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT) or train. Especially at transit oriented development (TOD), such as Dukuh Atas area.

"For us, they can build a mall, but it must be in places that passed by public transport, just do it," he closed.
